Sperm collection.......of Tiger Grouper

Hello, we meet again in this blog and today as the person in charge, I, Adeng updated this blog for you to review. Today in hatcery we did Tiger Grouper sperm collection for the next hybrid project. Since the groupers are a bit large, a few people were needed to help with the work. The first picture below is the picture before the selection, showing parts of the members who joined in with the work.

Next continuous pictures are the journey that the members have traveled in order to gain good quality of sperm :
Sham (staff), Gerald (student) & Chee Kai (RA) were on a battle, using all their powers to catch the potential groupers.

Roy (on ladder) patiently waiting for the three musketeers to pass him the selected Tiger Grouper.
The muscular Joe holding onto the ladder in order to avoid Roy from falling off it, while receiving the grouper that Chee Kai had passed on.
Small yet strong Macy is the last person to receive the grouper and responsible to transfer them into the white tank filled with sleeping portion (transmore) so that the fish won't struggle much.
Aha......today I am the one to suck the sperm from the groupers into the sperm collector and Mr. Aazif is responsible to press their abdomen so that the sperm ooze out from their genital papillae. About 40ml of sperm successfully obtained today.

Hey!!! We are the sperm donaters and we know that it will be use for good and won't mind donating again next time. Thanks for reading this blog and we will update to you again soon........
